Milan Records releases “A RUSTY DREAM,” a new song by Chinese indie-pop twosome DOUDOU for the second season of the global hit series CYBERPUNK: EDGERUNNERS 2. Available everywhere now, the track oscillates between atmospheric, layered vocal stylings and pounding, industrial synth textures, balancing moments of stirring vulnerability with pulsating electronic intensity.
Equal parts dreamlike and explosive, the song embodies the duality at the heart of the Cyberpunk 2077 world, capturing both the deep emotionality and brutality that defines life in Night City. “A Rusty Dream” debuted as the featured song in the newly released trailer for Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2, which offers audiences another early glimpse into the new storyline – watch here. Created by CD PROJEKT RED in collaboration with renowned animation studio TRIGGER, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 will debut exclusively on Netflix on October 20.
Of the song, DOUDOU say, “If everything were to disappear, what would ultimately remain to prove that ‘I’ ever existed? I only hope that someone will remember: I was here, I loved, and I belonged to myself.”
Today’s release follows lead single “YOU CAN’T RUN FROM ME” by RICO NASTY, which arrived alongside the first official trailer for the new season.
The high-octane track blends heavy guitars, industrial synth textures and Rico Nasty’s signature rage-infused vocals, fitting perfectly into the themes and tone of the globally acclaimed anime series.
