Bandai Namco has released the opening animation to its upcoming JRPG, Tales of Arise. The animation was handled by Ufotable, while the lyrics were provided by the Japanese bank, Kankaku Piero. Interestingly enough, despite a Japanese band doing the cover, the entire song is sung in English.
Tales of Arise is the next chapter and 17th game in the Tales series, not counting the spin-offs.
For 300 years, Rena has ruled over Dahna, pillaging the planet of its resources and stripping people of their dignity and freedom. Our tale begins with two people, Alphen and Shionne, born on different worlds, each looking to change their fate and create a new future. Featuring a diverse cast of characters, intuitive and rewarding combat system, and a captivating story set in a lush world worth fighting for, Tales of Arise delivers a first-class JRPG experience.
Tales of Arise will be released on September 10, 2021, for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
