Pokemon Live-Action Series Is Coming To Netflix

The world of Pokemon has been around for 25 years, and what a time it has been. There have been countless games, cartoons, memorabilia and more made of it. And the franchise has never been one to branch out into various directions in order to showcase the true wonder of the Pokemon world. But now, Variety is reporting something rather huge. Netflix is making a Pokemon Live-Action Series!

So…how does this work? Well, if you recall Detective Pikachu from  2019, it’s apparently going to be like that in a certain way. The project is also going to be headed up by Joe Henderson, whom many of you will know from the fan-favorite series Lucifer.

The project is apparently in VERY early stages so details are very light, which is good…and not so good.

You see, a Pokemon live-action series is something fans have been dreaming of for a while. However, Netflix doesn’t exactly have the best record of doing things. In fact, live-action adaptations of anime as a whole tend to be rather terrible as they can’t match the visuals and the style that the anime have. Detective Pikachu was one of the rare ones that worked because it was a different kind of Pokemon world.

Again, we don’t know much, but it’s enough to be curious, if not overly cautious.
