The Nintendo Switch OLED announcement is something that is still causing a stir with fans (as well as scalpers who are trying to make money from the new model). Not the least of which is because many still want the long-rumored Nintendo Switch Pro and the OLED is only fanning the flames of that. And not surprisingly, more rumors have emerged in wake of the announcement.
So, Nintendo decided to clear up some of it themselves on Twitter:
We also want to clarify that we just announced that Nintendo Switch(OLED Model) will launch in October, 2021, and have no plans for launching any other model at this time. (2/2)

That would seem pretty definitive, but fans aren’t so sure. We’ll just have to see where it goes from here.
