Days Gone Releases For The PC Next Month

PlayStation has provided a release date for the upcoming release of Days Gone for the PC. The title will be available as of May 18th, 2021, and will be released via the Epic Games Store and Steam.  The game is priced at $49.99 on both digital storefronts.

In addition to the released date, PlayStation also revealed that the PC port of Days Gone will also include a photo mode, so you can take some sexy in-game pictures. 21:9 ultra-wide monitor support is also in and is something I wish more developers would include in their games. Players will also be able to their favorite controls with the game, either PlayStation’s DualShock 4, DualSense, or Xbox controllers. On that, I still can’t get over the fact that Xbox button prompts will be featured in a formerly exclusive PS4 title – just like they were for Horizon Zero Dawn.

KEY FEATURES
• A striking setting: From forests and meadows, to snowy plains and desert lava fields, the Pacific Northwest is both beautiful and lethal. Explore a variety of mountains, caves, mines and small rural towns, scarred by millions of years of volcanic activity.

• Brutal encounters: With vicious gangs and hordes of Freakers roaming the land, you’ll need to make full use of a variety of customizable traps, weapons, and upgradable skills to stay alive. Don’t forget your Drifter bike, an invaluable tool in a vast land.

• An ever-changing environment: Jump on the saddle of Deacon’s trusty motorbike and explore a dynamic world dramatically affected by the weather, a dramatic day/night cycle and the evolving Freakers, who adjust to their surroundings – and the people in it.
• A compelling story: Lose yourself in a powerful tale of desperation, betrayal and regret, as Deacon St. John searches for hope after suffering a deep, personal loss. What makes us human when faced with the daily struggle for survival?

While we reviewed the game for the PlayStation 4, I skipped out on it due to the performance issues. But now that Days Gone is headed to the PC, I’m looking forward to seeing how it performs on my PC. And while it hasn’t been announced yet, here’s to hoping Days Gone supports DLSS, since it does run on the Unreal Engine 4.

Are you looking forward to playing Days Gone on PC? Let us know in the comments!
