Breath Of The Wild 2’s Early “Synopsis” Unearthed

By Todd BlackFebruary 6, 2021
Zelda

The year 2021 is aiming to be a bounceback year for many in the gaming industry after several “bad releases” and a lot of controversy around certain titles. Nintendo had a solid enough 2020 but it was barren at points and only had a few games to really “carry things”. But one 2021 is looking to possibly change that, especially if indications are correct in that The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild 2 will release this year.

We’ve had knowledge that this game would come out via a teaser shown in 2019. Since then, Zelda Producer Eiji Aonuma has been rather quiet on what the game will be like. However, an old pamphlet that was handed out in 2019 has been found and it reveals a slightly more detailed synopsis on what was shown in said teaser trailer:

Finally, Link and Zelda return in the eagerly awaited successor to unforgettable action-adventure The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, with series producer Eiji Aonuma promising a darker adventure this time. Deep within the caverns beneath Hyrule Castle, a new and powerful threat awakens. Can our courageous heroes save the kingdom again?

The reason this is important is that the trailer seemed to indicate that Ganondorf would appear in full (as you might recall only “Calamity Ganon” appeared in Breath of the Wild) via his human visage. But if this is a “new and powerful threat” than this may not be the case. Also, if it is Ganon, how did his body get under Hyrule Castle? Let alone under an expansive section of the castle? Hopefully, we’ll find out more soon from Nintendo!
