Super Mario Party Sequel In The Works?

By Todd BlackJanuary 10, 2021
Super Mario Party

There have been a plethora of big hits on the Nintendo Switch since its launch in 2017. One of the more surprising hits by far was that of Super Mario Party. The Mario Party franchise came alive in the N64 days, but as the entries went on the quality severely dropped. However, the Switch entry seemed to bring back the love of the franchise in earnest, leaving many to think that a sequel may be coming.

Sure enough, some Twitter people found a brochure for recruitment from NDcube. If you don’t know, that’s the team who made Super Mario Party, as well as things like Clubhouse Games for the Switch. Check it out below:

They note in the recruitment poster that they’re looking to ‘size up” the team, and with all of the Mario art on it…it seems pretty clear that a sequel is in development. When we might expect to see this sequel is unclear, but given the desire for recruitment 2022 wouldn’t be too far a reach.
