Best Place to Farm Souls in Demon’s Souls Remake

Welcome back to our Demon’s Souls guides! This time, we’ll show the best way to farm souls, and this tactic works in both the Demon’s Souls remake for PS5 and the original game.

Farming souls can be a pain in Demon’s Souls but is necessary, especially if you’re looking to power your way through encounters or moving into NG+ or beyond. Thankfully, there’s a place in the game where you can farm souls without much effort. That is, assuming you’ve reached that area already.

That location would 4-4, the Archstone of the Shadow of the Shadowmen / Monolith Forest. Once you’ve defeated the boss for this area, it’s worth returning here to farm a vast number of souls.

How to farm souls in 4-4

Once you head to the Archstone, 11-12 flying creatures can be farmed indefinitely. Just be sure to keep in mind that they will fight back, but don’t take much to kill. You will need a ranged weapon or the Soul Arrow/Soul Ray but are easily one-shot kills. You can increase the number of souls they give you by equipping the Ring of Avarice and using the Soul Thirst spell. If you use a female character, you can earn even more souls by equipping the Silver Bracelet, which can only be worn by a female character.

Using the Soul Thirst spell and Ring of Avarice, I was able to rack up 4000+ souls per kill, snagging me over 40,000 souls for just 1-2 minutes of work. Sadly, I didn’t have a female character, so I missed out on the Silver Bracelet benefit. However, if you’re feeling adventurous, shooting the world tendency towards black and pure black will yield even more souls.  Doing this for 30 minutes provided me with more than enough souls to level up several times over. It’s easily the best way to level up in the game.

You can see how this works in the video below.

What’s more, you can head to 4-1 and kill all the bosses without much issue. Both the 2nd and 3rd bosses are cakewalks, while the first can be just as easy if you’re a spell caster or have a ranged character.
