Them’s Fightin’ Herds developer Mane6 to host its own fighting game event

Mane6, the developer of the fan-made fighting game Them’s Fightin’ Herds  (previously My Little Pony: Fighting is Magic) has announced that due to recent events that they will host their our fighting game event.

As for other ongoing situations, we will respect decisions made by community leaders in related games and events. Things seem rough right now, but despite all that’s happened, we believe it will all lead to a safer and more accepting community.

Them’s Fightin’ Herds was built in part with the idea that fighting games can, and should, be enjoyed by everyone. We were excited for EVO Online and how it brought many fighting game fans into our community, and vice versa. With over 1300 entrants worldwide for TFH, we know all of you were just as excited to play as we were to watch. We want to keep that excitement going and give everyone a place to come together to help the larger fighting game community heal.

That’s why we’re hosting an event of our own. We’re going to make it the largest online TFH tournament to date, and to help us pull it off, we’ve assembled a team of top community organizers who are already laying the groundwork.

Another announcement is coming with more info, including when this event will be, how to sign up, which regions will be able to sign up, and y’know… what the event will be called.

Them’s Fightin’ Herds was one of the games picked for the now-canceled EVO Online 2020, which was canceled due to the recent events surrounding the former CEO of the fighting game event.

As for Mane6, it’s good to see that they aren’t letting the cancellation of EVO Online 2020 get them down. To see them planning their own event, for a game has gone through so much adversity is similar to an origin story. You don’t have to take my word for it. Instead, watch this feature of Them’s Fightin’ Herds, thanks to Hold Back to Block. It’s an interesting and informative watch of how the game came to be.

As this story is developing, we’ll continue to follow and update whenever Mane6 puts out more information regarding it.

For now, if you haven’t played Them’s Fightin’s Herds, but have a passing interest in fighting games then you should give it a try. While it may not have the largest roster of characters, the wacky gameplay, and mechanics (even if they are cheap at times) makes for a fun time. There’s so much personality and humor in this game, even if you don’t know what’s going on you can’t help but watch.

I’ve been playing the game for some time now and while I’m far from an expert, I do enjoy the game. Oh, did I mention that the game is also finally out of beta?

Them’s Fightin’ Herds is currently only available on PC via Steam for $14.99. However, if you pick up the game in the next two days, it has been discounted to just $10.04.
