ASUS ROG’s Bezel-Free Kit makes multi-monitor setups look even sexier

By Keith MitchellFebruary 1, 2020

Every so often a piece of tech or hardware gets announced that simply blows your mind. This time around, it’s ASUS ROG’s turn to show off some amazing tech.

They’ve released an accessory that removes the bezels from a multi-monitor setup. Sure, having 2 or more monitor setup is great for gaming. But those unsightly bezels just ruin the experience. Well now ASUS has devised a way to get right of them.

They’re calling it the ASUS ROG Bezel-Free Kit and it works with any type of monitor, not just ASUS ROG branded monitors. What this kit does it present a piece of transparent thermoplastic, that refracts the light from the edges of the screen. This provides the illusion of it being one panel, removing the bezels from the picture. It’s pretty smart and makes you wonder why someone hadn’t come up with this before now.

As you can see in the video, installation is straightforward and easy.

However, there are some downsides to this. According to ASUS, this only meant for gaming and not for day to day tasks. It also useful when using monitors under 27 inches, and with four-sided frameless or slim-bezel design. Of which those bezels must be less than 13mm. Lastly, it will only work on flat-screen monitors, so no curved monitors allowed. If your setup meets that requirement, then you’re all set.

Currently, you can pick up the ROG Bezel-Free Kit at Newegg, Microcenter (my favorite place) and via ASUS’s website. The kit is priced at $109.99 and lets you connect two monitors. So if you have more than two monitors, you’ll need multiple kits.

So if you’ve ever wanted to create a sexy looking multi-monitor setup without the bezels, this could be the answer for you. Kudos for ASUS for coming up with this simple yet completely workable solution to smash those bezels.
