Gamescom 2019 live streams that are happening today

Welcome to August 19, 2019, and the start of a number of Gamescom 2019 live streams and presentations. In fact, there are four different shows lined up and the event hasn’t officially kicked off as of yet.

Below is a list of those shows, what you can expect as well as when they start and where you can catch them at.

6:00 AM PT / 9:00 AM ET — Nintendo Indie World

The first show of the day, Nintendo’s Indie World will show off a number of Indie titles that will find a home on the Nintendo Switch. Some new, some past favorites and we’re hearing a rumor that another Xbox exclusive will also find its way to the Switch. Oh please let it finally be Ori and the Blind Forest.

8: 00 AM PT / 11:00 AM ET — Inside Xbox Gamescom 2019 Special

This show is loaded. From more Destiny 2: Shadowkeep details, Gears of War 5, Ghost Recon: Breakpoint, Battletoads, Wasteland 3, and a number of other games that I haven’t mentioned. That’s not all as Microsoft also teased some hardware announcements as well.

10:00 AM PT / 1:00 PM ET — Google Stadia Connect

The last Google Stadia Connect live stream honestly was a disappointment. Google didn’t really sell the Stadia as far as I was concerned. Sure, we got a price and some game announcements, but that was it. For this Stadia Connect, Google has to do a better job. They need to show off those exclusive games, some actually people playing the Stadia and get people excited for the service. C’mon Google, you an do it.

11:00 AM PT / 2:00 PM ET — Geoff Keighly’s Gamescom Opening Night Live

Perhaps the biggest live stream of today, the ONL will showcase a number of games, including Borderlands 3, a special Call of Duty: Modern Warfare announcement, more Destiny 2: Shadowkeep news and a trailer, Need for Speed Heat, as well as a number of announcements from the following companies. Several of which will be showing off new games.

  • Bandai Namco Entertainment
  • Capcom
  • Epic Games
  • Google Stadia
  • Koch Media / Deep Silver
  • Private Division
  • Sega
  • Square Enix
  • THQ Nordic
  • Ubisoft

Which show are you looking forward to the most? We’d love to know!
