If you’re a PlayStation 4 Pro owner and you’re looking to pick up Borderlands 3, you’re going to love this. It was recently announced that Borderlands 3 will let PS4 Pro owners choose between a higher resolution or a smoother framerate. Yes, folks, you have options!

On PS4 Pro, Borderlands 3 will let you favor 1) higher resolutions or 2) a smoother framerate. More tech tidbits: https://t.co/qzoTECynvw pic.twitter.com/sbbdCW48DN

If you ask me, I had always felt that owners of the PS4 Pro (and Xbox One X) should always have this option. Sure, it’s up to the developers, but wouldn’t it be nice?

So what does this all mean? Well, if you choose the “favor resolution” option, the game will use the highest available resolution available and set the framerate at 30fps. While choosing “favor performance” will set render the game at 1080p and bump the framerate to 60fps. However, this option isn’t available for the base PS4, which run the game at 1080p/30fps.

Borderlands 3 releases on September 13th, 2019, for the PS4, Xbox One and PC (Epic Games Store). It is the eagerly awaited follow-up to Borderlands 2 and looks to be the best title in the series. New and returning characters, lots of amazing gameplay, and walking guns. Yep, you read that last part right.

I Can’t wait to get my hands on this.
