During the ongoing 2019 San Diego Comic-Con, Hideo Kojima of Kojima Productions revealed the box art for the upcoming Death Stranding title. This took place during the Hideo Kojima: Master Storyteller panel.
As seen below, this box art showcases Sam Bridges, who serves as the main protagonist in the game.
In addition to the standard box art, the steelbook box art was also shown. That’s still Sam on the cover, but he looks quite different. The steelbook is only included in the Death Stranding Special ($69.99) and the Collector’s Edition ($199.99). Both of which are currently sold out, unless you resort to eBay.
In the near future, mysterious explosions have rocked the planet, setting off a series of supernatural events known as the Death Stranding. With spectral creatures plaguing the landscape, and the planet on the verge of mass extinction, it’s up to Sam Bridges to journey across the ravaged wasteland and save mankind from impending annihilation.
Death Stranding will release exclusively for the PlayStation 4 on November 8, 2019.
