Monster Hunter World Shipments and Digital Sales Surpass 13 Million

By Keith MitchellJuly 17, 2019

The juggernaut known as Monster Hunter World just keeps on breaking records for Capcom. Announced not too long ago, Capcom has stated that Monster Hunter World has surpassed 13 million shipments and digital sales. That’s across the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and even the delayed PC version.

Monster Hunter World 13 Million Units Ship celebration

To celebrate the occasion, Capcom will be providing some useful in-game items. Everyone who logs in between July 25th thru August 29th, 2019, will receive the following goodies:

  • x1 Attack Jewel
  • x13 Appreciation Tickets
  • 13x Silver Eggs
  • x3 Gold WyverianPrints
  • 3x Heavy Armor Spheres

Seems a nice gesture, especially that attack jewel. In fact, if you’re listening Capcom, I could use a few more.

Originally launching on the PS4 and Xbox One on January 26, 2018, and followed by the PC release on August 3, 2019. Monster Hunter World has been Capcom’s top-performing title since it’s release and it hasn’t slowed down one bit. Now in 2019, Capcom is primed to release the eagerly awaited follow-up, Monster Hunter World: Iceborne. A sequel the introduces a new region Hoarfrost Reach, as well as new and returning monsters.

I don’t see the momentum for Monster Hunter World stopping anytime soon. While Iceborne will likely push the game past 20 million units shipped, easily. MHW has been my go-to game for quite some time and I can’t wait to get into the sequel. Despite the fact that the PC version is being delayed (again), it will be worth the wait. I just hope we don’t have to wait quite as long this time around.
