Crunchyroll announced that they will be holding the world premiere of the new Dr. STONE anime at this year’s Anime Expo! The premiere will take place on Thursday, July 4 at 12 Noon PDT. The screening will be held in the Main Events Hall B of the L.A. Convention center and will be immediately followed by a Q&A panel with the show’s creators! For fans unable to attend Anime Expo, the simulcast of Dr. STONE kicks off worldwide except Asia on Friday, July 5 on Crunchyroll.

Several thousand years after a mysterious phenomenon that turns all of humanity to stone, the extraordinarily intelligent, science-driven boy, Senku Ishigami, awakens.
