E3 2019: Roller Champions Combines Rollerskating and Basketball

By Diego PerezJune 10, 2019
Roller Champions

Roller Champions, a free-to-play sports title, was announced at Ubisoft’s E3 press conference, and the game is playable on PC starting today.

The game sees teams of three racing around a track on roller skates, fighting for control of a ball so they can throw it through hoops spread across the track to score points. Making laps while in possession of the ball will grant you more points when you score, but you’ll be at risk of having it stolen from you. Here’s the official description of the game.

As a Roller Champion, you compete in a team of three against three. The rules are simple: take the ball, make a lap while maintaining team-possession, and score. You can go for more points by completing additional laps before attempting a goal. After each game, you gain fans, unlock sponsors, customize your character, and ultimately unlock impressive fan celebrations.

The game will feature a progression system and fully customizable characters. As you play, you’ll gain sponsors, and more fans will fill the stadium seats as you gain notoriety. You can see it in action in the trailer below.

The game will launch in early 2020, but PC players can get their hands on the E3 demo on Uplay today. The demo will be live through June 14.

When he's not playing video games, Diego's talking about video games, and he does both a lot.
