‘Avengers: Endgame’ Blu-ray and DVD Releasing This August 13th

Right after I came from my second viewing of ‘Avengers: Endgame’, I checked out Best Buy’s website to see if they were taking orders for the eventual release. To my excitement, they were and for a sexy steelbook version as. I’m a sucker for a steelbook case. In any event, I pucked down my cash and began the wait until the movie would be released onto Bluray and DVD. Which looks like will be sooner than expected.

Unless this is an error on Best Buy’s part, they recently updated my order. Instead of having no release date, they’re telling me that Avengers: Endgame releases on August 13th, 2019. So that’s an unexpected surprise. As for why I ordered this particular version, check out the image below and you’ll understand.

That’s one sexy case, with images of Tony Stark and Natasha Romanova, two of the original Avengers that were lost during the movie. It’s also a two-disc set, so I’m not sure what the extra disc is for. I’m assuming it will be full of things such as the making of the movie, featurettes and more.

Update: Now we have official confirmation and a trailer.

Included with the film are the following extras, which includes several deleted scenes. Not sure if these are the same scenes that are being added in the Avengers: Endgame re-release that arrives in theaters this weekend.

  • Remembering Stan Lee– Filmmakers and cast honor the great Stan Lee in a fond look back at his MCU movie cameos.
  • Setting The Tone: Casting Robert Downey Jr.– Hear the tale of how Robert Downey Jr. was cast as Tony Stark in the original “Iron Man” — and launched the MCU.
  • A Man Out of Time: Creating Captain America– Trace the evolution of Captain America with those who helped shape the look, feel and character of this compelling hero.
  • Black Widow: Whatever It Takes– Follow Black Widow’s journey both within and outside the Avengers, including the challenges she faced and overcame along the way.
  • The Russo Brothers: Journey to Endgame– See how Anthony and Joe Russo met the challenge of helming two of the biggest films in cinematic history … back-to-back!
  • The Women of the MCU– MCU women share what it was like to join forces for the first time in an epic battle scene — and be part of such a historic ensemble.
  • Bro Thor– His appearance has changed but his heroism remains! Go behind the scenes to see how Bro Thor was created.
  • Six Deleted Scenes– “Goji Berries,” “Bombs on Board,” “Suckiest Army in the Galaxy,” “You Used to Frickin’ Live Here,” “Tony and Howard” and “Avengers Take a Knee.”
  • Gag Reel– Laugh along with the cast in this epic collection of flubs, goofs and gaffes from set.
  • Visionary Intro– Intro by directors Joe and Anthony Russo.
  • Audio Commentary – Audio commentary by directors Anthony and Joe Russo, and writers Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely.

So, we have a date. August 13th, 2019. Just a few more months until I end up watching this every week for the foreseeable future.
