Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent Is In Development For iOS and Android

Are you as an of Square Enix’s RPG’s, and have been eyeing Octopath Traveler from afar. Sadly, since you don’t own a Switch, you haven’t had a chance to check it out? Well, you’re in luck as Square Enix is developing a version of the game specifically for iOS and Android devices. Yep, I’m totally not making this up.

Announced earlier today by Square Enix, Octopath Traveler “Champion of the Octopus Traveler” is currently in development. Continuing in the same style as Octopatch Traveler, this will be a single-player game that will incorporate the same HD-2D look of the original game.

Also mentioned is that the game will be free to play, but that doesn’t mean that the game won’t have a price tag attached. It’s really hard to believe we’re going to get a quality RPG in the same world as Octopath Traveler and for free. But hey, if we do, I won’t say no.

Pre-registration is currently available over at the game’s official website. It’s all in Japanese, but don’t let that stop you.

Check out the trailer for the game below.

So far the game is only being mentioned for the Japanese market. Hopefully, it won’t remain that way. We’ll find out more on March 12, 2019, as more information on the game will be released then.

Octopath Traveler is currently available on the Nintendo Switch. Check out our review of the title, here.
