Crunchyroll Set to Raise Subscription Prices

By Josh PiedraMarch 27, 2019
Crunchyroll

Crunchyroll announced that it will be increasing its monthly and yearly subscription prices. The monthly subscription price is increasing from $6.95 to $7.99 while the yearly membership is increasing from $59.95 to $79.99. These changes will go into effect for all new users on May 1. Current Crunchyroll subscribers will not see these changes take effect until August 1.

Likewise, European prices will be affected as well. The monthly subscription price will go from £4.99 to £6.50 and the yearly subscription from £39.99 to £64.99.

This is the first price increase in the company’s history as well as the first mandated since AT&T announced its acquisition of parent company Otter Media.
