Mortal Kombat 11 To Get…Bayonetta?

By Todd BlackFebruary 20, 2019
Smash switch Bayonetta Mortal Kombat 11

Alright, alright, CALM DOWN! This is not confirmed yet. HOWEVER, Hideki Kamiya, who is one of the heads of Platinum Games AND the creator of the Bayonetta series has made a tweet that you can see below that plainly says that Mortal Kombat 11 and Bayonetta is going to have a crossover.

Mortal Kombat × Bayonetta

— 神谷英樹 Hideki Kamiya (@PG_kamiya) February 19, 2019

The fact that he doesn’t give much context to it is actually quite interesting, but, Kamiya himself isn’t known for “fakeout” tweets, so if this WASN’T real…then why make the tweet at all?

NetherRealm Studios has never been afraid to bring 3rd party characters to Mortal Kombat. Numerous horror icons have been put into the game, as well as the Predator and the Xenomorph from Alien! So having Bayonetta would be a very tame addition to the game. Plus, her popularity is on high this year because of her upcoming title on Nintendo Switch.

This fact is actually making people think that the crossover could be a Nintendo Switch DLC exclusive, as Mortal Kombat 11 is coming to Nintendo consoles for the first time in generations.

Again though, this is but a rumor at present, a very strong rumor…but a rumor nonetheless. Mortal Kombat 11 arrives on April 13th.
