Julia And Negan Finally Joining The Tekken 7 Cast This February

By Keith MitchellFebruary 17, 2019

Despite being announced back in December 2018 as part of the Tekken 7 season two roster, we didn’t know when Julia and Negan (The Walking Dead) would be making their debut. That all changes now, as Bandai Namco has announced during EVO Japan, that both characters will finally be playable at the end of February 2019.

Both are part of the season pass which is available for $29.99. If you don’t have the season pass, you can still purchase the characters separately as well. Julia is priced at $4.99, while Negan comes in a bit higher at $7.99.

It will definitely be nice to see some new blood in the game. Especially Julia, man I missed her. I used to main her (and Michelle) when she made her debut back in Tekken 3. For some reason, I just couldn’t enjoy her as much when she was “rebranded” as Jaycee in Tekken Tag Tournament 2. So I’m really excited she’s making a return. She is definitely a fan favorite and packs quite a punch. As for Negan, well it’s going to be odd having yet another weapon based fighter joining in. Even still, he’ll be right at home with Tekken mainstay, Yoshimitsu, and Noctis from Final Fantasy XV.

My own question is since we’re adding weapon-based fighters now, when are we going to see 2B? She’s already arrived in SoulCalibur and I’d love to see her in Tekken 7 as well. Let’s make this happen, ok Katsuhiro Harada?

Tekken 7 is currently available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. If you’ve missed it, check out our Tekken 7 review for the PC here.
