Bandai Namco Teases A New Gundam Game Will Be Revealed On January 22

By Keith MitchellJanuary 11, 2019
Gundam

Looks like Bandai Namco hasn’t given up on Gundam games and teased that they’ll reveal a new game this January 22, 2019.

This reveal will come in the form of a trailer, that will first be available to those who own Mobile Suit Gundam: Battle Operation 2. That trailer will then be released, assumingly onto YouTube for everyone else to see.

As for what the new game is about, I have an idea already. You see, there’s a new Gundam series that’s about to be released. A spin-off to ‘Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans’. This spin-off will supposedly have a game that ties into it, which I’m assuming will be this game. Of course, this is all speculation, so we’ll have to wait and see.

I’ll be honest, I love Gundam. I’ve watched ever anime, read most of the books and I’ve built my fair share of Gunpla. I love it, and it’s been a huge part of my life – both personal and the geek inside of me. But if there’s been anything I’ve been disappointed with, it’s the state of the Gundam games. Some have been good, most recent ones have been terrible.  I’m looking at you New Gundam Breaker. Here’s to hoping this upcoming game will be better than that.

Or, you know, just re-release the Gundam Versus series, that would work as well.
