VIZ Media to Release Hunter x Hunter: Phantom Rogue on February 20

Hunter x HunterThe action-packed movie, which is based on the popular HUNTER X HUNTER anime series, will be released on February 20th as a Blu-ray/DVD Combo Pack. The Combo Pack’s MSRP will be $29.98 U.S. / $34.99 CAN. A standard DVD-only edition will also be available with an MSRP of $19.98 U.S. / $24.99 CAN.

In the film, someone has stolen Kurapika’s eyes—and according to him, it was another survivor from his clan who were massacred for their Scarlet Eyes! Gon and Killua begin investigating on his behalf, but shortly after they’ve begun, the Phantom Troupe appears!

“Audiences will be on the edge of their seats as Gon, Killua, Kurapika and Leorio, reunite for this action-packed new feature film,” says Charlene Ingram, VIZ Media’s Director of Animation Marketing. “We invite fans of the HUNETR X HUNTER manga and anime series to dive into this riveting new adventure!”

The HUNTER X HUNTER anime series is based on the popular HUNTER X HUNTER manga originally created by Yoshihiro Togashi. The series (which is distributed in North America by VIZ Media) was produced by the famed animation studio, MADHOUSE, and has been broadcast domestically on Adult Swim’s Toonami. The HUNTER X HUNTER anime series is currently available from VIZ Media on Blu-ray and DVD home media editions.
