Coming as a surprise to no one, Netflix has officially confirmed Stranger Things season 3. While Netflix does not release raw numbers on viewership, it’s no secret that the show has been wildly successful, and that it’s clear the Duffer Brothers still have more stories to tell.

Netflix has not shared any information on when Stranger Things will return. Season 2 dropped over a year after the release of the first season, so it’s certainly possible we won’t see season 3 until 2019. They are currently in the script-writing stage, so filming likely won’t begin for another few months.
We really enjoyed Stranger Things 2, so this comes as great news to us (even if it is not surprising in the least).
