The Fighting EX Layer Beta Is Now Available For Download

Heads up people! The Fighting EX Layer Beta is now up in North America. This beta will run from today and up until December 25th. So you got two weeks to get a few matches.

What can you expect from this beta? Plenty of 1v1 matches, online matches mind you. You’ll also be able to check out the new gameplay mechanic, the Gouki system. This provides plenty of ways to get an advantage over your opponent. Assuming you can figure out how to activate the system, that is.

By meeting certain conditions mid-match, 「強氣Gougi-」 will activate! By awakening new powers in your character, you can seize the advantage in battle.
Even among the same character, depending on your 「強氣Gougi-」 selection, you can completely change how they play.

You’ll be able to try out all of the announced characters: Shirase (Awakened Hokuto), Kairi, Garuda, Skullomania, Darun, and Allen. You’ll need a PlayStation Plus subscription to play online, however, you’ll be able to hit the training room to practice if you don’t. Finally, the beta weighs in at 700-ish MB.

So get to downloading and let us know what you think about the beta.

Fighting EX Layer will be released exclusively for the PlayStation in 2018.
