Hulu Makes Its Way To The Nintendo Switch

Get ready to get your streaming media on the Switch

It can game on the go and now, Nintendo’s popular hybrid console will soon be able to stream media. Hulu, a favorite media streaming service of mine, is making its way to the Nintendo Switch. Announced by Nintendo today via their weekly “Nintendo Download” email, Hulu will be the first of many streaming services coming to the Switch.

Hulu Streaming Service

Details on the offering are pretty weak. Other than a link to a page on Nintendo’s website that isn’t live and the app coming to the Nintendo eShop, that’s all we know.

We’ve reached out to Nintendo to see if we can get a bit more info on the recent announcement.

To be honest, I’m shocked by this announcement. Even though I shouldn’t. I wonder what sort of limitations are going to be in place. Will this be usable in docked mode only? Will we be able to use it on the go with tethered service? Will this be restricted to just their streaming service or will the live TV offering also be included? I wish more info was provided but I’m sure more info will be brought to light soon.
