Nyko’s Portable Docking Kit For The Switch Is Now Available

Nyko Portable Dock for the Nintendo Switch

Tired of moving your Nintendo Switch dock around with you? Or perhaps you just aren’t a fan of the design and those screen scratching issues? Well, you’re in luck as Nyko has just announced that their portable docking unit is now available.

Update: Looks like Amazon won’t ship until Oct 31st. Gamestop locations vary, so call around.

I’ve had a chance to speak with a Nyko rep and managed to get some hands-on with the unit at E3 2017. It’s not a bad little unit and could be everyone is waiting on. At the back of the dock are several USB connections (3.0 & 2.0), a port for the power adaptor and HDMI out. Instead of the Switch being slide down two panels of plastic, it will sit directly on the Nyko docking unit.

The dock is really sturdy and isn’t awkward. It also blends in a bit better with your other gaming stuffs. At least I think it does. Plus, once you’re done with it or want to take it on the go, you just slide the port side in. The unit is no bigger than a game box, so you can stuff it in your pocket or bag.

The Nyko Portable Docking Kit is priced at $50 and will be available at Amazon, Gamestop, Bestbuy and other locations. As soon as we get our hands on one, we’ll be giving this a proper review.
