ABC is currently developing a serial killer ensemble comedy series titled Boring, OR, with Jack Black attached as an executive producer. The show will follow a small-town police officer named Jonna as they try to stop a serial killer. Meanwhile, the townspeople are content with not letting the killings affect their daily lives. Deadline reports, “At its heart, Boring, OR asks the question, ‘If I’m OK, does it matter that other people aren’t?'”
The Upright Citizen Brigade’s own Stephen Soroka wrote the script for Boring, OR and will serve as supervising producer. Jack Black and Spencer Berman will produce under the Electric Dynamite banner, alongside Eric Appel. This will be the first television series produced under Black’s Electric Dynamite company, but not Black’s first time producing. He most recently produced the HBO series The Brink, which he also starred in.
