Amazon Wants To Know If You Still Want Your SNES Classic Preorder

By Keith MitchellOctober 11, 2017
SNES Classic Edition, NES Classic Edition

Oh Amazon, could this entire Super Nintendo Classic mess that you’ve dug yourself into get any worse? It’s bad enough you decided to sell what units you had on your “Treasure Trucks” instead of fulfilling those preorders. Now you have the gall to ask people who managed to get a preorder if they still want it.

It would see that some people are getting emails asking if they still want their SNES Classic preorder. As we reported before, Amazon has not provided anyone with an actual delivery date. It could be this week, next week or even next year before those orders are fulfilled. I’m guessing that Amazon is hoping that there are people who are so fed up that they’ll simply can’t their order. It’s a viable tactic that usually yields results. I should know, I canceled my preorder at Walmart – I was just tired of dealing with the mess.

I really don’t know what to say. In one hand, I’m completely disgusted on how this is being handled. Stores like Amazon are screwing over their customers, while Nintendo seems confident this is all going well. Yet on the other, part of me expected this to happen so I’m not completely surprised.

And there’s still no ETA on when these things are going to be delivered! I just spoke with two Amazon reps that have zero idea of when to expect them.

I won’t be surprised if Amazon doesn’t see a huge amount of people tossing in the towel. If you received one of these emails, what are you planning on doing?
