David Lynch: Twin Peaks Could Continue; New Season Would Take Years to Make

By Clinton Bowman-ChristieSeptember 14, 2017

September 3rd saw the end of Season 3 of Twin Peaks and David Lynch still has some explaining to do. One thing, however, is that a new season of Twin Peaks would definitely take some time.

During a live Skype session at the Belgrade Culture Center in Serbia during his “Small Stories” exhibit, Lynch spoke to a live audience and offered up some interesting tidbits about the series. One of the major things he stated was that if there was ever to be a fourth season of Twin Peaks, it would take some time. Lynch admitted that it took him four and a half years to write and film Twin Peaks: The Return, so fans would have to be extremely patient.

Lynch also failed to reveal the fate of Audrey Horne, whose last appearance was mired in confusion as to what her fate was.

What matters is what you believe happened. Many things in life just happen and we have to come to our own conclusions. You can, for example, read a book that raises a series of questions, and you want to talk to the author, but he died a hundred years ago. That’s why everything is up to you.

It looks like we’re going to be asking questions for quite some time when it comes to David Lynch’s work with Twin Peaks.
