Sonic Forces Set To Launch This November

By Keith MitchellAugust 31, 2017

First, we got Sonic Mania, which was completely bad-ass (except for that Denuvo mess). Now we’re being told that Sonic Forces will also drop this year and much sooner than we thought. Set for a November 7th, 2017, release date, Sonic Forces will be released for the PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Right in time for the Xbox One X launch as well, hmm…

In addition to the release date, Sega has announced a pretty cool pre-order bonus. Well, pretty cool for those of us who like pre-order swag. If you pre-order the game now, you’ll score 5 exclusive in-game costumes and a Sonic Forces controller skin. Those costumes are plucked right out of several Sega games such as Puyo Puyo, Jet Set Radio, Super Monkey Ball, NiGHTS and Persona 5.  The controller skin is Sonic Forces-themed and shows off Sonic and the new baddies from the game.

No idea if these in-game costumes will be available after the pre-order bonus is gone. So if you’re remotely interested, you may want to get that pre-order.

However, as it was pointed out before, controller skins on the Nintendo Switch and Joy-cons are not really recommended. So I’m not sure if Sega got that memo or if they found a way around it.
