My most anticipated game of the year is the remake of The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky SC. I reviewed and played the first remake, Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter. Since the announcement of the release date of the game, marketing has been pretty quiet on trailers and information on Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter. That ends today as Gungho Online Entertainment has unveiled a brand new promotional trailer for the game.
It was impeccable timing for this trailer to come out because today also marks Estelle Bright’s birthday. We get to see that Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter picks up where the first game leaves off. Estelle is now looking for Joshua with her other companions this time around. Joshua seems to be looking for Loewe and the rest of the society you learn about at the very tail end of Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter. Estelle appears to have learned some new combat moves which look fantastic. She also has a battle with Anelace in the trailer. There are also some more scenes with Kevin Graham, who will be a big part of this game. Renne appears in the trailer hugging her bunny and giving her iconic eye wink.
We get to see Kloe in her new outfit now that she is recognized as the Princess of Liberl. It looks like Estelle’s mom gets a model in the game instead of just a flashback cinematic like the first game had. In one of the combat instances, we see Estelle joined by Kevin Graham and Julia Schwarz. We will get to see the rivalry in full force between Walter and Zin. Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter, as the trailer announces, is the conclusion to the story set up in Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter.
