Another Game Awards Show has come and gone, with many games take home some much-deserved awards. Not to mention some amazing reveals, including Soul Calibur 6, Bayonetta 3, WitchFire and GTFO (best game name ever!).

So let’s recap the winners of the show, with what awards they walked out with.

  • Best Chinese Game: jx3 HD
  • Best Debut Indie Game: Cuphead
  • Best eSports Team: Cloud9
  • Best eSports Player: Lee Sang-Hyeok “Faker”
  • Best eSports Game: Overwatch
  • Best Score/Music: Nier: Automata
  • Trending Gamer: Guy  “Dr. DisRespect” Beahm 
  • Best Student Game: Level Squared
  • Best Independent Game: Cuphead
  • Best Multiplayer Game: PlayerUnknown Battlegrounds (not announced during the show)
  • Best Art Direction – Cuphead
  • Most Anticipated Game: The Last of Us Part II
  • Best Handheld Game: Metroid: Samus Returns
  • Best Sports/Racing Game: Forza Motorsports 7
  • Best Strategy Game: Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle
  • Best Family Game: Super Mario Odyssey
  • Best Fighting Game: Injustice 2
  • Best Role Playing Game: Persona 5
  • Best Action/Adventure Game: The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

For those keeping tally, four games walked out with two or more awards. Those games are listed below.

  • Cuphead – 3 awards
  • Overwatch – 2 awards
  • Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice – 3 awards
  • The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild – 3 awards
