Arkane Studios Investigating Dishonored 2’s Poor PC Performance

By Keith MitchellNovember 10, 2016

When Bethesda stopping sending press copies out to video game review sites until after they were released (Unless you were a streamer who offered no technical feedback), we knew we were in for a bumpy ride. Case in point was the recent release of Arkane Studios Dishonored 2, which of course wasn’t available for review until today. And wouldn’t you know it, the PC version of Dishonored 2 has several performance related issues. We’re talking about low frame rates, massive juddering that make the game basically unplayable, even at the recommend system requirements.

Thankful, it looks like Arkane Studios is away of the issues and have already gone to work on correcting them. Havey Smith, the Co-creative Director over at Arkane Studios, is instructing anyone who is having issues to send their details to Bethesda’s Twitter Support at @bethesdasupport.

I hate to be the one to say it, but if Bethesda believes that this new policy of not sending review copies out to sites to review PRIOR to the game releases is helpful to anyone, they need to re-think that approach. Sending games to streamers who aren’t going to provide proper feedback prior to the games release only turns them into glorified hypemen and do little to nothing for those looking to purchase the game. This issue here with Dishonored 2, could have been picked up and resolved before it even launched had this not been the issue.

Didn’t we just have this issue Skyrim Special Edition?
