Saekano Gets Second Season Green Lit

By Josh PiedraMarch 17, 2016

Saenai Heroine no Sodatekata, also known as How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend (or Saekano for short) has been green-lit for a second season starting in April of 2017. The anime will be included in the return of Fuji TV’s Noitamina anime block. Saekano is the story of Tomoya Aki, an otaku who wants to make a dating sim game and enlists the help of his friends who just happen to be a novelist, an erotic manga artist, a musician, and a plain girl with no redeeming qualities set to play the hero in the game.

The first season saw the completion of their game, but it definitely left things open for a second season.  If you wish to watch the first season, Hulu, Aniplex, and Crunchyroll all have the series available for legal streaming.  Aniplex of America also has it for sale on DVD and Blu-Ray.  A-1 Pictures will continue to produce the series for its second series.
