During Xbox Games Showcase 2026, developer Asobo Studio brought us a new tailer for Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy. It’s a spin-off from the main franchise, set 15 years before the events of Plague Tale: Requiem. You play as new character Sophia on a dangerous journey across a mysterious island haunted by ancient myths and buried secrets.
The gameplay shows how this game blends intense close-quarters combat, exploration, and emotional storytelling, expanding the universe of A Plague Tale while uncovering the terrifying origins of forces long hidden in the shadows. As Sophia ventures deeper into the island’s heart, players will confront deadly trials, unravel forgotten mysteries, and discover a story deeply connected to the Macula.
Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy will release on August 27, 2026 for Xbox Series X/S, PC and PS5. It will also be able day one on Gamepass and will support Xbox Play Anywhere.
