New Fallout 4 Video Details the Perception Attribute

By Mark SullivanSeptember 16, 2015

The new video in the Fallout 4 S.P.E.C.I.A.L. video series has been released on Bethesda’s Youtube channel.

Following last week’s video detailing Strength, the new video explains how the Perception stat works in the upcoming title. Essentially, your Perception stat will determine your character’s accuracy using the Vault-Tec Assisted Targeting System, or V.A.T.S., while also determining the distance at which you can sense an enemy presence. It also seemingly manages to affect other skills, such as Lockpicking. This is not unlike how it worked in previous installments, but at least this time we’re given another lovely cartoon to go over it. You can view the video below.

Fallout 4 is set to leave the vault on November 10, 2015.

Mark is a student in Philadelphia currently working towards a B.S. in Information Science & Technology. Starting in 1998 with a hand-me-down PS1 and the demo for Spyro The Dragon (which he played COUNTLESS times), his love of gaming soon elevated when he borrowed Final Fantasy VII from a friend for the first time. Now he's an avid collector, a semi-expert trophy hunter, and an overall lover of video games. Favorite games are Final Fantasy VII (I know, deal with it), Metal Gear Solid 2, Resident Evil 4, Dark Souls, and Psychonauts, to name a few.
