Microsoft Introduces Microsoft HoloLens

By Clinton Bowman-ChristieJanuary 21, 2015

Microsoft GM of Incubation Projects, Alex Kipman, also known as the ‘Father of Kinect,’ just announced Microsoft HoloLens, a headmounted computer with 3 processing units (CPU, GPU and the all new Holographic Processing Unit, or HPU,) running on Windows 10 software. Windows HoloLens is said to understand where you are anywhere in an area, as well as provide you with spatial sound, providing sound all around the user, even if the holographic program is behind you.

Along with HoloLens comes HoloStudio, a new program which enables you to create 3D objects with voice and gesture commands.

HoloLens arrives within the Windows 10 lifespan.
