This week’s Weekly Audio Spotlight is devoted to a soundtrack that simply needs to be heard; Journey The Original Soundtrack. Arranged and composed by Austin Wintory, who also worked on the flOw soundtrack, Journey can only be summarized as being transported to a magical location full of beauty. The soundtrack is quite calming and very uplifting which provides the listener with an almost tranquil surrounding and provides a sensual feeling. Although it sounds, well rather silly it’s one of those things that is simply better to be experienced by one’s self rather than reading about it or listening to someone trying to relay it to another.
So today consider yourselves treated to perhaps one of the better Video Game soundtracks you’ve heard in quite some time.
The Journey Soundtrack can be purchased on Apple’s iTunes for $4.99 & Journey the video game can be purchased via the Playstation Network (PS3 only) for $15 and despite the high price tag I HIGHLY recommend it.
