Evo 2024: Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising Version 1.50 Revealed

By Kevin KellyJuly 19, 2024

Versusia was revealed at Evo 2024 as the next DLC character for Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising. Half woman, and half divination, from the sounds of it. Cygames has pushed out a tweet telling folks to try her out at the event. She is an original design for the game. She’s not present in the first game. However, Versusia will be playable at the Cygames booth this weekend to try out.

🕹️ Drop by the Cygames booth at #Evo2024 to try out Versusia, the amalgamation of the divine and mortal to be added to the roster in #GBVSR Version 1.50, as well as the newly balanced Gran and Lucilius.

According the panel at the Evo 2024 Showcase, there will be more story elements. Versusia will be playable in Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising version 1.50, but not in the current build for the Evo major. Next to balance changes, there will be a new ranking system called Grandmaster Rank. This will consist of the top ten players, per character, in the master ranking. Other improvements such as connection quality will be shown here, also. A much needed addition to the game as it stands. Penalties given for ragequit delinquents, in online, will also be added.

Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising will have their grand finals on Sunday. This will be the nearing the half mark of the Arc World Tour 2024 offline tournaments.

Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising is available now on PS4, PS5 and Steam.
