Nintendo made a pledge several years ago to find ways to expand their IP exposure, and one of the ways they came up with that was via the theme park Super Nintendo World, which was actually overseen by Shigeru Miyamoto. It has two locations currently with a third on the way. Plus, they’re going to expand the park to have multiple Nintendo character sections. However, at the Hollywood location, they added a new interactive wall game at the Frosted Glacier section.
As revealed by Nintendo Everything, the section has you trying to defeat enemies while using special Mario items like the fire flower. If you do well, you get points and coins! Here’s the official description:
The premise is simple. Guests begin by punching the ? Block where one of four Power-Up items – Fire Flower, Ice Flower, Super Mushroom or Super Star – appear on the screen. They then can tap the Power-Up item and use it by swiping or tapping to defeat Goombas and Red and Green Koopa Paratroopas or tapping brick blocks as they flash by which earns them coins. The goal is to collect as many points as possible before the timed activity concludes.
