Hiromu Arakawa’s Silver Spoon (Gin no Saji) manga is set to return from its second hiatus on May 23. The new chapter will be published in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen JUMP magazine. The series returned from hiatus on July 5 last year only to go back into hiatus just three chapters later. Silver Spoon received two television anime adaptations thus far with both of them available currently on Crunchyroll.

Yen Press currently holds the license to distribute the manga in North America.

MyAnimeList.net describes Silver Spoon as follows:

Yuugo Hachiken has spent every waking moment of his life studying in order to achieve the highest grades in school. Finally cracking under the pressure of his parents’ expectations for success, Yuugo decides to leave his city life and enroll in the rural Ooezo Agricultural High School. However, he has absolutely no experience with farming!

Attempting to utilize the skills he has built through studying, Yuugo begins to pursue the true meaning of having a dream and perhaps discover his own along the way. But life is not as simple as it seems to be, and Yuugo must learn that hardship may appear when you least expect it.

Silver Spoon also had previously won the Grand Prize at the 5th Manga Taisho awards as well as the 58th Shogakukan Manga Award for Best Shonen Series. It also won the first-ever Japan Food Culture Contents Award in 2013 and the 19th annual Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize in 2015.
