Yen Audio is excited to announce the audiobook cast for YAMI-HARA. Available on 11/14/2023, the recording will feature Edelyn Okano, a British voice actor whose narration brings this dark, horror novel to life.
YAMI-HARA is a Japanese dark fantasy light novel series written by Mizuki Tsujimura, with the translation by Stephen Paul. Yami-hara, an abbreviation of “yami harassment”, will tap into the horror of everyday micro-transgressions with five short stories. Yen Press licensed this light novel as an eBook on June 20, 2023. Yami-hara will now be coming to audio for fans to listen to these unnerving short horror stories in English by Yen Audio.
The strange kid at school, the odd woman in the apartment building, the troublesome man at work. Such people exist everywhere, in everyone’s lives. All it takes is a word for it to start. Edelyn Okano is a Japanese and Filipino actress, singer, and writer proudly born and raised in Canada. She is a graduate of the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York with a focus on classical voice and musical theater. As a proud member of SAG-AFTRA and Actors Equity (AEA), she has been seen and/or recurring on several award-winning television shows, such as The Good Doctor, Designated Survivor, Grey’s Anatomy, The Bold and the Beautiful, Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Good Trouble to name a few.
