Today, Bandai Namco Filmworks offered a glimpse into the magical world of Wistoria: Wand and Sword Season 2 with a new opening PV and comments from key staff members, including Chief Director Tatsuya Yoshihara. The PV for Season 2 has been unveiled ahead of the premiere and is packed with thrilling action scenes featuring Will and his companions. It is set to the opening theme song “BELIEVERS” by ASH DA HERO.
Based on the manga by Fujino Ōmori—author of Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?—and rising manga artist Toshi Aoi, Wistoria: Wand and Sword follows Will, a young boy who challenges a magic-dominated world armed with nothing but a single sword.
Staff Comments
Fujino Omori (Original Creator)
“The Terminalia Arc, which has been my goal since before the serialization began, is finally being depicted in the anime.
An epilogue that is also a grand prologue.
Please see the story of wand and sword woven by Will and his friends through to the end.”
Toshi Aoi (Manga Artist)
“Thank you for waiting!! Season 2 of the anime is about to begin!
The trials that befall Will—I have always been fighting alongside him through the manga.
When it felt like I might lose, when it felt like I might break, what gave me the strength to keep going was
Will and his companions, and all of you who have been running alongside us as readers.
So for everyone watching the anime—I would be so happy if you could feel even a little of that power from this series, from Wistoria Season 2!
Please look forward to Wistoria: Wand and Sword Season 2!!!!!!”
Tatsuya Yoshihara (Chief Director)
In Season 1, I believe viewers were able to appreciate the precious relationship between Will and Elfaria — one that felt almost like a long-distance romance, given the gap in their positions. As the title suggests, this is a tale of magic swords where wands and blades cross paths. As the story progresses, the cast of characters grows, and with it, the number of wands that recognize and cross with swords increases as well. If even more of these relationships emerge, one can only wonder what will become of the fiercely possessive Elfaria… I do hope you’ll tune in to Season 2 to see how it all unfolds — just kidding! In all seriousness, please show your support for Wistoria: Wand and Sword, where Will and his companions face even greater challenges and one thrilling twist after another keeps you on the edge of your seat!
Hideaki Nakano (Director)
“This season also features anime-original episodes, all created with scenario collaboration from the original creator, Mr. Omori!
In other words, they are all authentic. Please watch with peace of mind.
On the visual front, for both battle scenes and everyday scenes, the entire staff has been working tirelessly in order to uphold Chief Director Tatsuya Yoshihara’s ‘Yoshio Quality.’”
Yuki Hayashi (Music)
“To all fans of Wistoria: Wand and Sword! Season 2 is finally here!
For Season 2, I had the opportunity to create many new pieces of background music. When I visited an anime convention in Germany before recording, being able to meet the original creator, Fujino Omori, and the manga artist, Toshi Aoi, further inspired me, and I believe I was able to create grand and exciting music. I hope you will enjoy the music alongside Wistoria’s world and story.”
ASH DA HERO (Opening Theme)
“We are ASH DA HERO. We worked on the opening theme song for the TV anime, Wistoria: Wand and Sword Season 2. We have been huge fans of the original work, so we are so happy and honored to be entrusted with the opening theme song.
Amazing developments are in store for Season 2. We wrote the song “BELIEVERS” to show our love for Wistoria and to cheer on Will and his friends. We hope this song becomes your Stroke of Courage.
Thank you for your support!”
