The New Nintendo Store Is Opening In May!

By Todd BlackMarch 13, 2025
Nintendo Store, Nintendo San Francisco

As great as Nintendo is, if you’re hoping to get “special items” to showcase your love of certain franchises, location is important. Sure, you can order things online, but quality can vary depending on the site. Then, for official Nintendo Store items, you need to literally live in a place that has them, and there aren’t that many. My fellow Nintendo Entertainment Podcast host, Will, lives in New York City, so he can go to his on the regular. If you’re not there or in Japan, you’re almost out of luck. I say “almost” because a new store is getting set to arrive in San Francisco!

It’s true! This will be the second Nintendo Store in the US, which is shocking when you think about it, and it opens on May 15th! There will be reservations to get in on launch day, so you’ll want to check out the official site for the store as the date draws closer so you can get them!

On May 15th, Nintendo will open the doors to Nintendo SAN FRANCISCO, its second official store in the United States.

Details on reservation requirements—and an early look at exclusive products—will be shared as we approach the grand opening.

As someone who lives in the Midwest, I hope that Nintendo opens a store near us soon!
