The Legend of Heroes: Trails Beyond The Horizon Nintendo Switch 2 Limited Edition

We got some good news and some bad news regarding NIS America’s upcoming release of The Legend of Heroes: Trails Beyond the Horizon. The good news is that there will be a version native to the Nintendo Switch 2. That’s right, the first Trails Nintendo Switch 2 title that we know of will be Trails Beyond the Horizon. The bad news is that the release window has been updated to be January 2026.

Important announcement: #TrailsbeyondtheHorizon is now coming to Nintendo Switch 2 in addition to NSW, PS4, PS5, and PC in January 2026!

“With the power of the Nintendo Switch 2, we expect players to have an even more enjoyable experience. In fact, this will mark the debut of the Trails series on the Nintendo Switch 2, and I personally have high expectations for it. Please continue to look forward to the release!”

– Toshihiro Kondo, Nihon Falcom President

Alongside the current pre-orders for the game, there is a new Nintendo Switch 2 limited edition of the game.

The Nintendo Switch 2 Edition costs $10 more than the other editions.

The Legend of Heroes: Trails Beyond The Horizon will release in January 2026 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC.
