Ingrid just arrived into the world of Street Fighter VI and she’s ending things already. The goddess’ coming has seemingly ended a trend for World Tour mode without even trying. Or was this a grand design choice that only Ingrid can bring about? She does have the ability to break 4th wall in the game, after all. Maybe she’s trolling us.

In a release note on social media, Capcom has stated it has decided to put an end to the World Tour DLC content per character tradition. Usually, each new character brings about a new part of the story of their own. Also, the ability to learn their moves for the avatars. However, things might be different for the game going forward.
Please note that Ingrid will be the final character to receive additional World Tour story content upon release. Previously added World Tour content will remain playable.
World Tour mode serves as a single player RPG experience for Street Fighter VI. To end it here before even showing Year 4’s roster does feel a bit more of a gut punch. There are so many questions that need to be answered. How Street Fighter VI will continue the single player content without this aspect remains to be seen for now. Perhaps there could be a new mode to replace it. As to the reason: nothing has yet to be said.
Street Fighter VI is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam.
