Alright, I’ve been chipping away at Remnant 2 – The Awakened King because I’m addicted to Soulslikes, and I believe I found something you’ll all enjoy. What’s that? Well, the actual ending to this DLC? And it’s pretty easy to get to if you follow the steps below.
How to get to the True Ending and Crimson Guard Set
First and foremost, you need to defeat The One True King, and it doesn’t matter what difficulty or if you side with Nimue or kill the One True King outright. Head to the Chamber of the Faithless via the Palace of the One True King and get him dead.
Next, head to the Gilded Chambers and farm the Crimson King Coin. You’ll need three of them.
Once you have three Crimson King Coins, head to the end of the instance and meet the Red Prince. Thanks to the DLC, he has some added significance, as we’ll find out. However, we still need to offer him the three coins that you farmed. After offering them as tribute, he’ll thank you and will literally stab you in the back.
Once you revive, head back to where you first met The One True King.
You’ll notice that a few things have changed. For one, the Red Prince and the scribe you may have met during your journey are there. The One True King’s chair has been demolished, and the Red Prince stands among the rubble.
If you have the Misplaced Menior, speak to the scribe and tell him that you have something for him, ask him “is this your tome”. He’ll ask for it, and in exchange, he’ll give you the Amulet of the Scribe.
Next, speak to the Red Prince, who will acknowledge your efforts and will reward you with the Crimson Guard Armor set. This is similar to the Fae Royal armor, but has slightly more armor.
You’ll also earn the Succession – Discover the One True Ending achievement or trophy as well.
