After a week of controversy and concerns around the security of PlayStation’s PSN accounts. There is finally some good news for PlayStation fans. A new State of Play is coming on June 2nd, 2026 and everyone’s favorite superhero will play a starring role.
Taking to social media earlier today, PlayStation confirmed that the latest State of Play will take place on June 2nd, 2026 at 2:00pm PT / 5:00pm ET. However, the PlayStation Blog is where the interesting information comes from.
It was here that they confirmed Insomniac Games will be present with a closer look at Marvel’s Wolverine, which is launching on September 15th, 2026. We will get a look at the games combat alongside some brand-new details.
Being a massive fan of Wolverine I can’t wait to see more of Marvel’s Wolverine, especially the combat. Since getting that right is crucial to a good Wolverine experience. I want it to feel and look visceral and heavy without comprising on speed. It needs to be impactful otherwise, you wont feel like Logan himself.
I’m also interested to see what else we might get a glimpse at in the State of Play. PlayStation has already confirmed that the show will last for over an hour. So, it will be interesting to see what else turns up. Will we get a glimpse of FairGame$ which is still supposed to release this year? or perhaps Rockstar Games will use this as the point to kick off their marketing for Grand Theft Auto VI? I wouldn’t expect Rockstar Games to show up, but it would be a nice surprise. Given that it has been reported PlayStation have a marketing deal in place for GTA VI, there is always a slim chance.
