Persona 4 Revival was just shown off at the Xbox Games Showcase 2026. It’s coming out on February 18th, 2027, for PS5, Xbox, and PC. It’s skipping Nintendo Switch 2 at the moment, which as a long time fan of ATLUS and Nintendo, infuriates me.
For context, back in the days of DS and 3DS, ATLUS was a huge supporter of the systems. From Etrian Odyssey to Shin Megami Tensei IV and its’ pseudo-sequel Apocalypse, ATLUS had a new game for the portable console every month or so up until the end of the 3DS’s lifespan in 2018, with that last game of theirs being Persona Q2: New Cinema Labyrinth. I was happy to support them, especially as they learned to develop a game for the Switch 1, which was a new type of console for them in the form of Shin Megami Tensei V. Then, almost nothing aside from ports of Catherine: Full Body, the Etrian Odyssey HD Trilogy, Persona 3 Portable, Persona 4 Golden, and Persona 5 Royal. Now, between this and Persona 6 skipping Switch 2 (For now, hopefully), the feeling of being a faithful ATLUS fan is kinda gone for me.
Persona 4 Revival is a remake of Persona 4, matching the visual style of Persona 5 Royal, while adding in elements of Persona 4 Golden from the PS Vita, such as Marie. I’m excited by that. I’m also happy with the visual style and combat improvements to the game. If you want to see what I mean, you can check out the trailer above.
Lastly, if you want to learn more about what’s being added to Persona 4 Revival, there’s a dedicated game broadcast coming June 18th, 2026 at 7:00pm EST.
